Septic tank Evost with biofilter - device, model range, advantages

Price: 90`000 rub.

Sewage for a dacha - in 2011, another deep biological treatment system, EvoStok Bio, appeared on the Russian market of autonomous treatment facilities. The cleaning principle in these installations is the same as that of Finnish bioseptic tanks Green Rock . An ideal sewage system for a summer house or country house. Calmly tolerates periods of residence, both weekly and seasonal.

Septic tank for a dacha - what should it be like?:

  1. The frequency of residence should not affect the quality of treatment of domestic wastewater with a septic tank.
  2. A septic tank for a dacha should easily survive the winter period with minimal waste.
  3. A septic tank for a dacha should easily withstand overloads on weekends
  4. Power outages should not affect its operation

One of these septic tanks is

Construction and design of a septic tank

Structurally, the Evo Stok Bio septic tank is a special biological device designed for the collection and deep purification of wastewater entering it from sewage drains. The septic tank has two main working areas:

  • An upper cylinder with a bioreactor filled with a special material made from polymer-type fibers.
  • The lower cylinder or sump is oval or round in shape. Its interior is divided into three gravity cleaning sections in a proportional ratio of 2:1:1, where the primary chamber occupies most of the space.

Construction of a septic tank Evost Bio

Over the course of 3 days, two chambers of the septic tank pour into each other every liter of wastewater that enters the device, which allows it to be effectively cleaned of suspended particles, trace elements, grease and debris contained in the wastewater. And the overflows present in the internal structure of the septic tank ensure efficiency and maximum cleaning performance.

The upper cylinder of the Evo Stok Bio septic tank is filled with a special type of filler, which is a “lump” of MATALA polymer threads, with a colony of “live” bacteria that decompose organic suspension found in sewage drains. These threads do not rot, do not corrode and do not have a negative effect on “living” microflora. For this reason, during operation, the Evost septic tank does not need to be replaced or introduced with biologically active microorganisms, provided that the sewer system is continuously used.

Biofilter of the Evo Stok Bio treatment station

The connection between the sedimentation tank block and the septic tank biofilter is carried out using special lugs that are attached to the screed and securely fix the structure, preventing the septic tank from floating up during a strong rise in groundwater.

The connection between the sedimentation tank block and the septic tank biofilter is carried out using special lugs that are attached to the screed and securely fix the structure, preventing the septic tank from floating up during a strong rise in groundwater.

Purified and clarified water from the third section of the septic tank is supplied to the upper cylinder using a Karсher SDP 5000 or SDP 7000 drainage pump, operating for 15 minutes per hour. In this case, the liquid to be cleaned is sprayed through fixed-type nozzles, which guarantees stable operation and silence during operation of the system.

The main body of the device is made of polypropylene. For greater strength and reliability, it is equipped with transverse partitions and internal stiffeners. The upper part of the septic tank with a biofilter, which is a maintenance hatch, has high strength and tightness, does not deform when used in winter and summer, and has a UV filter.

Rules and nuances of installing a septic tank Evostok

The procedure for digging a pit for a septic tank and trenches for underwater pipes (communications), filling the tank, backfilling and connecting the pump to electricity is identical to that for all plastic vertically located cylindrical septic tanks.
However, Evost Bio has a number of nuances that must be taken into account during installation:

  • If there is a low groundwater level in the area, the bottom of the pit up to the septic tank is filled with sifted sand, after which they are compacted and anchor elements are laid. If there is a high level of groundwater in the area, then drainage pipes are laid, connected to a sealed drain well, then the bottom of the pit is filled, compacted, then a concrete slab is laid as a base with steel loops equipped on it for anchoring (fixing) the septic tank.
  • The distance from the inlet pipe to the ground surface should not be more than 150 cm.
  • I lower the treatment facility into the pit using polymer slings, which are then used to attach it to steel eyes on a concrete base.
  • The sewerage system must be equipped with fan ventilation, with the exhaust vented to the roof of the building. The use of right angle turns and the use of vacuum break valves is unacceptable.
  • For backfilling, use a mixture of cement and sand, in a ratio of 1 to 7, respectively, or use sifted sand. Backfilling is carried out in layers: 20 centimeters of layer, after tamping, the next layer, tamping and so on. At the same time, it is necessary to gradually fill the container with water to prevent deformation of the walls. The water level should be 20 cm above the backfill level.
  • It is unacceptable to combine a septic tank with stormwater and/or drainage systems.
  • Sewage pipes must be laid in trenches filled with sand, the difference should be 2-5 cm for every meter of length.

After purification, wastewater from the biofilter can be discharged either using a pump or by gravity (naturally) into filtration fields, infiltrators, onto the terrain, storage wells, into drains, etc.

Septic tank Evost Bio and features of its design

The septic tank consists of three chambers, two of which over the course of three days pour each liter of wastewater into each other, which effectively precipitates suspended particles, trace elements, debris and fats that are found in household wastewater. The presence of overflows in the internal design of the device ensures maximum performance and efficiency of sewage wastewater treatment.

The septic tank also contains a biofilter, which is filled with a high-molecular polymer load consisting of intertwined plastic threads. Thanks to this technology, bacteria and microorganisms that are involved in the process of sewage water purification have ideal conditions for existence.

The presence of special eyes, which are attached to the screed and connect the sedimentation tank block and the biofilter, prevent the septic tank from floating up in case of increased soil water pressure.

Installation of septic tanks EvoStok Bio

Installation of the structure begins with choosing a location and performing excavation work.

  • Dig a pit under the tank, leaving a gap of 20 cm on each side. Dig trenches for drainage. Pipes are laid with a slope of 5-10 mm per meter.
  • The bottom of the pit is leveled with a sand cushion, on top of which a concrete screed is placed. Metal loops are inserted into it to anchor the structure. A solid base will allow you to securely secure the installation and prevent floating under the influence of groundwater.
  • The container is lowered using textile slings secured to the mounting eyes. After descent, the station is fixed to the concrete base.
  • The sewer pipe and power cable for the pump are connected.
  • Backfilling is carried out using a sand-cement mixture in a ratio of 5:1. In parallel with the falling asleep process, the container is filled with water to equalize the load.

The high quality of wastewater treatment and the cost of Evost septic tanks set the products apart from similar offerings on the local sewage equipment market.

How to install?

To properly install treatment facilities and wells, you need to take the help of professionals. Taking into account the future load, terrain features and other indicators, they will develop a project for the future station and put it into operation.

The installation location will be selected individually for a home or commercial organization, the depth of digging a pit and trench for sewer pipes, the installation height of the pump and the laying of the electrical cable will be determined.

With regard to grease traps, the installation location will be selected, the volume and degree of contamination of the wastewater, the specifics of the institution’s work, etc. will be taken into account.

What are the consequences of excess moisture in the soil?

You can see the results of this phenomenon yourself - trees and shrubs die. Why is this happening?

  • the oxygen content in the soil decreases and the carbon dioxide content increases, which leads to disruption of air exchange processes, water regime and nutritional regime in the soil;
  • oxygen starvation of the root-forming layer occurs, which leads to the death of plant roots;
  • the supply of macro and microelements by plants (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, etc.) is disrupted, because excess water washes out mobile forms of elements from the soil, and they become unavailable for absorption;
  • intensive breakdown of proteins occurs and, accordingly, the processes of decay are activated.

Plants can tell you at what level groundwater lies

Take a close look at the flora of your area. The species inhabiting it will tell you at what depth the groundwater layers are located:

  • perched water - it is best to dig a reservoir in this place;
  • at a depth of up to 0.5 m - marigolds, horsetails, varieties of sedges grow - bladderwrack, holly, foxtail, Langsdorff's reed;
  • at a depth of 0.5 m to 1 m - meadowsweet, canary grass, ;
  • from 1 m to 1.5 m – favorable conditions for meadow fescue, bluegrass, mouse peas, rank;
  • from 1.5 m - wheatgrass, clover, wormwood, plantain.

What is important to know when planning site drainage

Each group of plants has its own moisture needs:

  • with a groundwater depth of 0.5 to 1 m, vegetables and annual flowers can grow in high beds;
  • depth of water layer up to 1.5 m is well tolerated by vegetables, grains, annuals and perennials (flowers), ornamental and fruit shrubs, trees on a dwarf rootstock;
  • if the groundwater is more than 2 m deep, fruit trees can be grown;
  • The optimal depth of groundwater for agriculture is from 3.5 m.

Is site drainage necessary?

Record your observations for at least some time. You yourself can understand how much drainage is needed.

Maybe it makes sense to simply redirect melt and sediment water along the bypass channel, rather than allowing it to flow through your site?

Perhaps it is necessary to design and equip a storm drain and improve the composition of the soil and this will be enough?

Or is it worth making a drainage system only for fruit and ornamental trees?

A specialist will give you the exact answer, and we strongly recommend calling him. But after reading this article, you will gain some awareness on this issue.

Construction of the Evost septic tank and principle of operation

Device

Section of the septic tank Evost Bio

The load-bearing elements of Evostok septic tanks are made of polypropylene with a thickness of 8 mm, with UV protection. In “risk zones” additional power elements are installed, and the container itself is reinforced with transverse struts, which perform both reinforcing and technical functions.

To avoid the tank from floating as a result of rising groundwater levels, the septic tank design includes special fasteners with which the system is attached to the base slab.

Thanks to the technological “step”, the additional weight of the soil is retained, which is a “counterweight” to the Archimedes forces.

At the top of the septic tank for a country house there is an 8 mm thick service hatch, which is also made of polypropylene, like the entire system. The hatch-lid hermetically closes the body, is not subject to deformation in summer and winter, and is also able to withstand human weight.

The design of the Evost Bio 5 septic tank is a classic three-chamber septic tank with a volume ratio of 2:1:1. To filter large undissolved fractions, the first 2 chambers are used, which, thanks to their optimized design, ensure laminar flow of liquid, that is, conditions have been created to ensure the lowest possible speed of movement of wastewater through the chambers of the system. The treated wastewater is collected in the third chamber and then transferred to the biofilter.

The biofilter is located above the septic tank. Its feature is an innovative polymer loading in the form of many intertwined plastic threads. Thanks to the special design, a large number of colonies of microorganisms are formed on the surface of the filter, which are involved in the process of wastewater purification.

The bioload has high rigidity, despite its lightness, which allows for high throughput for both the liquid being purified and oxygen. To power the distribution system of a septic tank with a built-in biofilter, a Karcher SDP5000 drainage pump is used. Thanks to the spraying of the treated wastewater through fixed nozzles, stable operation and silence are guaranteed.

Work technology

Filter design

The principle of operation is similar to Finnish bioseptics from Green Rock. Through the sewer pipe, wastewater enters the first chamber of the separator tank. It separates suspended and heavy fractions by settling to the bottom.

After the initial purification, the liquid enters the second compartment through a specially designed siphon, which produces the effect of laminar flow, that is, it slows down the speed of waste as much as possible. The particles remaining in the water column are retained by the siphon. The second compartment serves as a settling tank for rough water purification.

Then, through a partition with a hole, the liquid flows from the second compartment to the third. From it, water, using a drainage pump, enters the biofilter for further purification and fine purification.

Through a stationary nozzle, liquid is sprayed onto the bioreactor grid, and it is enriched with oxygen. Under the influence of colonies of microorganisms, further purification occurs with the release of heat, as well as mineralization of dissolved sewage and their precipitation together with dead bacteria into the sump. Next, the technical clean liquid is discharged by gravity and can be used for household or garden needs.

Septic tank for high groundwater

If the site has a high groundwater level and gravity drainage is impossible, in this case the “plus” modification is used for all models of the Evost Bio septic tank.

The modification consists of installing an additional chamber with a drainage pump, which allows for forced (pressure) discharge of treated wastewater to the surface. The length of the pressure line and the lift height depend on the pump power.

Please pay attention! To increase the intensity of the ongoing processes, a chemical precipitating reagent is used, which is added to the separator container. For example, “Uponor”, the cost is approximately 4000 rubles for a 15 liter canister.

EvoStok Bio 5

This is a comprehensive deep biological treatment system for houses with permanent residence of up to 5 people (wastewater volume up to 0.8 (m3/day)).

EvoStok Bio5

— biochemical installation for the treatment of household wastewater. The lower part of the installation is divided into 3 sections. The volume of the first section is 1 (m3), the second is 0.5 (m3), the third is 0.5 (m3). Each section has built-in T-shaped overflows. At the top of the installation there is a biological section (which gives grounds to classify it as a system for deep biological treatment of household wastewater).

The design of a septic tank for a dacha or for a country house - the main structural elements of the structure are made of thick polypropylene (8mm), with protection from ultraviolet radiation, and the tank itself. The tank for a dacha or for a country house is reinforced with special transverse stiffeners, which perform not only reinforcing functions but also and technological functions of the primary settling tank; additional power elements are welded in the most loaded areas. The shape of the septic tank is designed in such a way that it avoids floating if there is high groundwater in the area:

  • The body has reliable eyelets for anchoring to the foundation slab;
  • To more reliably hold the system in the ground, a technological “step” was made on the body, which holds the additional weight of the soil, which is a “counterweight” to the Archimedes forces.

In the upper part of the septic tank there is a biofilter and a technological neck for servicing the primary settling tank, made of the same material as its lower part (8mm thick polypropylene). The septic tank lid is made of the same material, ensuring the tightness of the system and can easily support the weight of an adult.

Installation of a septic tank for a summer house and country house

System for deep biological treatment of household wastewater EvoStok Bio 5 –

It consists of a three-chamber settling tank with proportions 2:1:1. In the first and second chambers, separation and sedimentation of solid, insoluble particles occurs; they are designed in such a way that wastewater flows at the lowest possible speed without creating turbulence and mixing of contaminated wastewater through the septic tank chambers. Already clarified (purified) wastewater enters the third chamber, and from it the wastewater is supplied to the biofilter using a drainage pump.

A chamber with a biofilter is located above a three-chamber settling tank; it is filled with an innovative polymer loading consisting of many plastic threads intertwined with each other. The special design of the bioload allows you to collect and grow on its surface a large number of colonies of bacteria and other microorganisms involved in the process of sewage treatment. Bioload , despite its lightness, has high rigidity, which allows you to get rid of caking of individual layers, and also guarantees high permeability for both oxygen and the liquid being purified. The distribution of treated wastewater throughout the Evo Stok Bio5 Septic Tank occurs using a Karcher SDP5000 drainage pump (320W). Which, in turn, sprays the treated wastewater onto the biofilter through a system of fixed nozzles. Fixed nozzles guarantee quiet and reliable operation.

How does cleaning work?

  1. 1. In the septic tank (primary 3-section settling tank), the wastewater is clarified; a precipitating chemical is used to speed up this process.
  1. 2. From the third chamber of the septic tank, wastewater is fed into a chamber with a biofilter; in the biofilter chamber, clarified wastewater is freed from biological substances dissolved in it, as a result of which excess biomass is formed, which in turn partially falls back into the settling tank chambers with subsequent precipitation.

The wastewater flows through the septic tank for a dacha or country house by gravity, and only from the third chamber is supplied to the bio reactor by a Karcher SDP 5000 , with different frequencies set by you on the timer.

In the event of a power outage, the deep biological treatment system begins to operate in the mode of an ordinary septic tank for a summer cottage or for a country house.

To start a deep biological treatment system, you only need to supply electricity to start the biofilter.

Despite the simplicity of the technological scheme, the absence of compressor and dosing equipment, these solutions have been used for many years in professional cleaning at urban and rural wastewater treatment plants that require high quality cleaning, stability, low cost and ease of maintenance.

Advantages of this Septic tank

  • The septic tank is easy to use
  • The septic tank consumes a minimum of electricity
  • The septic tank can easily withstand power outages
  • The septic tank can withstand short-term loads (2-3 days) of operation for 8-10 people
  • The septic tank can easily withstand interruptions in household wastewater (operation of the septic tank on weekends)
  • Sepric with frequency of maintenance Once a year.

Causes of failure

There may be several reasons, but the main part are of the same type. Most often, the radiator fails due to a blockage or coolant leak. Each of the possible problems is discussed below.

Radiator clogged

There are two types of radiator clogs, external and internal. These types differ in the nature of their symptoms.

Internal blockage

With this problem, dirt accumulates inside the radiator, which blocks the circulation of coolant fluid along the circuit, which leads to insufficient heating of the radiator. This is fraught with the fact that the radiator does not heat up to a certain temperature and cannot transfer heat to heat the interior. With such a breakdown, the engine coolant temperature will be normal, but heat will not blow from the air ducts.

If the inside of the radiator is clogged, it must be washed or, at best, replaced.

External blockage

Such a blockage has nothing to do with the car’s coolant. With this problem, the radiator becomes clogged due to debris from the environment. Fragments of leaves, dust, etc. get into its honeycombs. which leads to poor fan airflow. This problem has symptoms when the air flow from the ducts has low pressure.

This problem is treated by washing it and replacing or installing the cabin filter.

Leak

A radiator leak is the most unfavorable failure scenario. Since when using the heater in the cold season, the radiator will heat up and the coolant leaking from it will begin to evaporate directly into the car interior, which will lead to an unpleasant odor in the car interior, as well as to rapid and severe fogging of the windows.

The leak can be eliminated by soldering the radiator at the leak site, but given the low cost of the radiator itself, it is best to replace it with a new one.

Design and principle of operation of EvoStok Bio septic tanks

Evost installations are designed to operate in two modes: a biological treatment station when electricity is available, and a regular septic tank when the power to the pump is turned off.

Evost biorefinery station

Design

The polypropylene body of the structure has a vertical design. It consists of two working areas:

  1. The upper cylinder houses the bioreactor with proprietary loading. It consists of interwoven MATALA polymer fibers inhabited by a colony of microorganisms. These bacteria decompose organic residues. The successful form of the biofilter eliminates caking and provides high throughput. The polymer material does not affect the vital activity of microorganisms and does not need to be replaced during operation.
  2. The lower cylinder consists of three chambers separated by partitions in a ratio of 2:1:1. The receiving section occupies half the area.

The upper cylinder is closed with a lid; it ensures the tightness of the tank, preventing the ingress of dirty water. The durable design can support the weight of an adult man.

Evost septic tank design diagram

Principle of operation

Sewage is fed into the receiving chamber of the lower cylinder, where it is mechanically cleaned under the influence of gravity - heavy particles settle to the bottom. Then the water flows through the grated overflow into the second chamber. Here the clarification process continues, to which bacteria in the bottom layer are involved. After filling the chamber, the wastewater is sent to the third compartment. A pump is installed in this part, supplying wastewater to the biofilter of the upper cylinder.

The pump is connected to an irrigation system that allows the effluent to be evenly distributed throughout the load. Organic particles are retained on polymer fibers, which over time decompose active bacteria. Water flows through the biofilter back into the outlet chamber, from which it is removed through a siphon overflow.

How the Evo Stok Bio septic tank works

Wastewater treatment in Evo Stok Bio septic tanks is carried out in several stages. The first stage is the settling of waste liquid in a special settling tank-separator, which is divided into three chambers with an extensive overflow system. The overflows are positioned so that the water flows as slowly as possible. This allows for high-quality precipitation. The flow of water often occurs by gravity, which means there is a guarantee that the work will proceed without failures, and the system itself will last a long time.

From the first chamber, water enters the second through a siphon. It is equipped with laminar block technology - good because it prevents large particles from getting into the second compartment. Then the water enters the third chamber through a small hole in the partition. The outlet is taken from the middle zone of the third compartment also through a siphon. It retains silt, and the water reaches the maximum degree of purification.

Bio-filtration occurs. The pump lifts water to the bio-reactor. There it is sprayed and at the same time saturated with oxygen. In the bio-chamber, water undergoes the last stage of purification through a film formed by colonies of bacteria. And already saturated with bacteria, it returns to the receiving chamber so that the process of decomposition of organic compounds ends. The cleaning process generates heat. Dissolved sewage falls into the sump along with dead bacteria. After this, the clean water can be reused in everyday life.
